Every year we recognize one student from every Burlington High School who works hard but is not at the top of the class academically. Maybe they have overcome an obstacle or a challenge. They are active in the school community and/or their peer community.

We celebrate the students who don’t always get celebrated. The student whose efforts often go unnoticed. We ask the leadership at each school to select a student who meets this criteria.

The student, family, friends and staff from the school are invited to an event to celebrate the successes of each student.

The 2026 event will be held May 12, 2026.
